UPDATE in 04-24-2007: As I'm a target to art thiefs, I'm changing the file for one with a smaller size and a larger watermark.
Doing this, I know visitors can't see the details, but is to try to prevent problems.

This is Akagu, Yawara's twin brother.
Akagu is not a japanese name. It cames from "akagu-su" a Tupi (indian tribe) name. It means "big head" but from it derived the portuguese word "canguçu", which refers to a huge and ferous jaguar, and sometimes is used to black jaguars too.
This is not a panther, it's a black jaguar. A panther is a black leopard. Both leopards and jaguars show the same phenomenon called melanism (someone tell me please if I'm not using the right word in english), which make the fur darker, looking like black (but if you look at the animals closer or over light, you can see the spots). A normal jaguar, or leopard, can breed normal-yellow-spotted cubs or black cubs.
Then, Yawara is a spotted jaguar, and her brother is a black one. Yawara's human form is the girl with the fire-hair, and Akagu shows a little darker color skin than his sister, and have black hair - because of the night.

________________________________

I love the moss hanging off the tree branch in the background. I've seen moss like that when I visit Florida. Isn't it called Spanish Moss? Anyway, it adds a very nice rainforesty, jungle touch to your picture. :)
